Rod Care

  1. Do not lift fish into the boat. This may look cool on TV, but in reality, fishing pros break rods, and they also use very stiff rods for lifting. If you are looking to fish tournaments and desire a rod like that, please let us know.  We have rods designed for tournament fishing.
  2. Take care not to scratch the blank.  When a blank is scratched or cut, it makes the blank weak in that area. This causes them to break.
  3. Use rod tubes and socks. This not only protects the blank, and will usually save them from car doors, kids, and maybe your wife.
  4. Do not use the rods outside of their intended use. Do not use an Ultra-light for fishing muskies, or use a trout rod for catfish. Over stressing the rods will cause them to break. We build rods for performance and they are Tuned Up for specific fishing.
